How to Sync Google Drive Accounts to Desktop – Guide
Google Drive is a cloud-based file storage and synchronization service developed by Google. It was released on April 24, 2012. The service allows users to store files in the cloud, sync files between devices, and share files with others. In addition to the web interface, Google Drive offers apps with offline capabilities for Windows and macOS computers and Android and iOS smartphones and tablets. Files created and edited using the Google Docs package are saved in Google Drive. ..
Google Drive offers users 15GB of free storage through Google One. Google One also offers 100GB, 200GB, 2TB which are offered through alternative payment plans. Uploaded files can be up to 750 GB in size. Users can change privacy settings for individual files and folders, including sharing with other users or making content public. On the site, users can search for an image describing their look and use natural language to find specific files, such as “Find my budget spreadsheet from last December”.
Sync multiple Google Drive accounts via your internet account
If you have multiple Google accounts, you can use the Google share feature to sync your files between them. This will allow you to work on a document in one account and see the changes that you make reflected in the other accounts. To get started, you will have to choose a “primary” account and open a folder in it. You can then grant all your other accounts access to this folder, which will act as a centerpiece of your Google Drive management. ..
- Log in to both Google Drive accounts.
- On the left side of the main Google Drive screen, click on the three lines in the top left corner of the screen. This will open a menu with two options: “Sync” and “Add.”
- On the Sync tab, select which account you want to sync with. If you have more than one Google Drive account, select them all at once by clicking on the plus sign next to each account name. If you only have one Google Drive account, select “None.”
- Click on “Sync.”
Google Drive is a great way to store and share files with colleagues. You can create a Google Drive account for free, or you can upgrade to a paid account. If you use Google Sheets, Google Drive also works well as a spreadsheet tool.
Sign in to your Google account and go to Google Drive.
New: A new window will open.
Select the ‘Folder’ option to open a new folder on your computer.
Sync Folder
Drag and drop all the files you want to share into this folder. If you have some files that don’t need to be synced, you don’t need to move them here.
If you right-click on this folder and select “Share,” you’ll see a menu that includes options like “Copy,” “Paste,” and “Send to.” ..
I am emailing to grant permission to organize, read, and write to my Google Drive account email address.

Google Drive has now synced your folders across all of your accounts. To access them, go to My Drive on the left side of the Google Drive home page and click on the folder you want to use. In this example, we will be using the folder called “Work.” In step 1, we will create a new folder called “Work-sync” and share it with our main account. In step 2, we will add our other two accounts - our personal account and our work account - to this new folder. We can do this by entering their email addresses in step 8 and clicking on the “Add Account” button. Now that all three accounts have been added, in steps 9 through 16 we will perform the same process for each account: we will create a new folder, add it to the Work-sync folder, and share it with that account’s email address. Finally, in steps 17 through 20 we can manage all of the content inside of Work-sync from any of our three accounts. We can open it in our main account, open it in one of our other two accounts, or delete it altogether if we no longer need it. ..
Merging Multiple Google Drive Accounts Using Google Drive Backup and Sync

- Open the app and sign in to your Google account.
- Select the files or folders you want to backup or sync.
- Choose a backup destination (local storage on your device, Google Drive, or another cloud service).
- Choose a backup schedule (daily, weekly, or monthly). ..

From the “Settings” menu, select “General.” On the “General” screen, under the heading “Location Services,” click on the button that says “Use Location Services.” If you are using a device with a built-in GPS receiver, your device will start to use location services. If you are using a device that does not have a built-in GPS receiver, you will need to enable location services through your wireless carrier or through another third-party service. ..
If you want to disconnect your account, click on the “Disconnect Account” link. This will take you to a page where you can enter your username and password. Once you have entered these details, click on the “Submit” button. ..
Press OK to continue. ..
To sign in to another Google Drive account, please click on the link below.
To back up your files to your Drive account, select the folders you want to back up. ..
Sync my drive with this computer to make sure everything is synchronized.
If you have not created a Google Drive folder on your desktop, click the “Create a new folder” link at the bottom of the window and enter a name for your new folder. Then click “Create.” Once your new Google Drive folder is created, select it and click the “Link to Google Drive” button. This will open the “Link to Google Drive” dialog box. In this dialog box, enter the URL for your Google Drive folder (for example, https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BxN3ZvbWVzc2FtZm9yYTcwM2I). Then click OK. Your files and folders will now be linked to your Google Drive folder on your desktop. ..
This will create a new Google Drive folder on your desktop with old and new files. However, since you have disconnected your main account, you will not be able to add or remove files from this new folder. So instead of syncing devices, this will just merge everything into one big Drive folder. You can then manage it from your desktop.
