How to Find and Remove Fonts On Windows 10 PC – Guide

Microsoft’s operating system only comes with a limited selection of fonts. Some graphics and desktop publishing applications install some of their own fonts, but if you really want your graphics and documents to stand out, you’ll need to add some yourself. Windows 10 can now work with the three most important font formats: TrueType, OpenType and PostScript. There are many sites that list fonts, but our favorite is Google Fonts because there are so many free fonts. Many of the best fonts cost money, but you can find many on Fonts.com and on Microsoft’s typography site.

In Windows 10, you can install fonts by double clicking on the font file you created or downloaded. You can install fonts in TrueType (.ttf), OpenType (.otf), TrueType Collection (.ttc), or PostScript Type 1 formats (.pfb + .pfm). If you have these font files installed, they may be removed from the font settings available in Windows 10.

How to Find and Remove Fonts on Windows 10 Computer

  1. Open the Start menu and type “cmd”
  2. Type “netstat -an” and press enter
  3. Look for the “Fonts” folder and its contents in the results list, and delete it if present.
  4. Type “scp font files to C:\Windows\Fonts” and press enter

To quickly access font management on your Windows 10 PC, go to C:WindowsFonts in Windows Explorer or use the Run command by pressing Windows key + R and typing “fonts.” ..

After opening the Fonts settings, all installed fonts will be visible here and you can choose to remove any of them. ..

I selected all of the text in the document by pressing and holding Ctrl button and left-click. I then removed them all using the Delete key on the top bar.
