How to Hide the Taskbar Search Button on Windows 11 PC – Guide

In Windows 11, the search button is a default feature. If you never use it or just want to save space, you can turn it off by right-clicking on it and clicking Hide from taskbar. However, if you want to enable the search button again, you need to go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar and turn on the switch.

The Start menu has a search field at the top, but it doesn’t automatically place your cursor in the search field when you start typing. So you don’t need to click on the search field first. Just start typing.

Remove Search Icon from Windows 11 Taskbar

Since Windows 10 includes a search bar, it would make sense to remove it. To do so, open Settings by going to Start > Settings or using the keyboard shortcut Windows key + I.
