But now that Facebook has made it so easy to download everything about me on the social network, I’ve taken this process further. How to download your data from facebook
On the left side of the Settings page, click on Privacy: Under “Who can see my posts and pages?” Check the box next to “Only me.” ..
You will see a list of your Facebook friends, as well as their contact information.
Download your information.
You will be taken to a new page to select the information you want to download. By default, all items are selected. However, you can check and uncheck the information you want in the long list.
After choosing the information you want, go to the top and optionally select a date range, different file format and media quality.
When ready, click the Create File button.
You will see a message on Facebook that the file is being created. When the file is ready, you will see a notification on your computer along with an email to the registered address. Click the link in the email or notification to get your file.
If you’re using Facebook on your computer, you can now download the app and enter your Facebook password when prompted.
When the file is downloaded, click on the Save button and go to the Downloads folder on your computer. Open the ZIP file you downloaded and unarchive it.
