The first few episodes of the reboot of Sex and the City were a roller coaster ride. However, I don’t think we should let this revival be ruined by weird death scenes, Miranda character changes, and everyone being so much older than they are. They really are in And Just Like That. We meet former newspaper columnist Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) as a struggling podcast personality with a very random fashion Instagram account (despite her distaste for technology). Miranda goes back to school and Charlotte tries to become a supermom. After the pain of Samantha Jones’ absence, I still firmly believe that she is. And just like that…. time to find the Sex and the City magic we’ve all been missing, especially now that Carrie has arrived home.

However, through brilliant writing that is darkly funny but feels all too real, the two discover they may grudgingly learn from each other and create a more authentic show for Deborah. It will be interesting to see where the show goes in season two.

Boardwalk Empire is a 1920s crime drama starring Steve Buscemi that follows Enoch “Nucky” Thompson, inspired by the historical figure Enoch L. Johnson. The valet-turned-smuggler from Atlantic City rises to power in the early days of Prohibition, building a drinking empire and meeting other obscure historical figures. The series takes some creative liberties, Chernobyl was generally praised for its attention to detail and accuracy in depicting the worst nuclear disaster in history.

After David Fincher’s disastrous experience with “Alien 3,” he proved his mettle with the 1995 crime thriller “Se7en,” which still has one of the most harrowing endings of all time.
